 This blog was very cute.  I think its a great idea for teachers to share what they are teaching and what the students are learning.  I liked the video on the page.  It was nice to see the students' artwork.  This is a great way for parents to keep updated on what is going on in their child's classroom.  It also is a good way to save paper.  I say this because teachers will sometimes send home a paper that tells what they learned for the day.  If the teacher puts it in a blog it will be more environmentally friendly.

The Role of Technology in Early Childhood Programs

This article talked about how technology is either hit or miss in early childhood.  Teachers have to be careful to integrate technology correctly into the curriculum.  The content needs to be age appropriate.  Computers are a good technological source for early childhood students.  It states teacher should be trained effectively.  If this is done technology will be very useful and fun for the students.  Technology can be very helpful for students with disabilities and it is also a different strategy for different learning styles.  

Teaching Philosophy

My teaching philosophy is not completely shaped right now.  I will gain more experience and it will continue to grow and become better and more complete.  What I do know I want to achieve is to have the students become comfortable being at school.  I will be working with younger students, therefore it is important that they become comfortable and enjoy school.  It is also going to be important that the students learn to respect each other and myself.  I will also need to work on becoming comfortable with accommodating and modifying lessons on the spot for students with disabilities.

Hi,

My name is Cindy Peterson.  I am a UW-Oshkosh student.  I am in my third year.  This is my second year at Oshkosh.  I attended UW -Marinette my first year.  I am a Dual Major in Special Education and Early Childhood Education.  When I graduate, I hope to get a job as a Kindergarten or Preschool teacher.  During my free time I like to work out.  I love running outside.  Running is definitely a stress reliever for me.  I like to go on Pintrest.  I also like to watch movies, hangout with my family and my boyfriend.
